Introduction to Competition

2019 China International Big Data Fusion Innovation·Artificial Intelligence Global Competition was officially launched on February 28, 2019. Under the guidance of BigData Expo Organizing Committee, the competition is committed to promote the development, innovation and collaboration of AI ecosystem in China, while building a platform to recruit the world-wide elites through participating the competition. The competition will be grouped by Domestic and International Series organized in six regions: Wuhan, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Beijing (All in China), Israel and Germany. The Semi-Final and Final will be held in Guiyang, the center of China's Big Data industry. Nurturing talents is the starting point of AI. Therefore, the Domestic Series starts off Wuhan, known by its massive amount of colleges and intellectuals. Wuhan also gathers up an industry chain of chip design, both of which contribute to the foundation of AI: talent and chip; Chengdu, as the second stop of Domestic Series, has been, and is, renowned by its culture of openness to foster and stimulate innovation with velocity, especially AI industry. Shenzhen, by a high reputation of fast-paced, energetic and entrepreneurial benchmark throughout China, is chosen as the third stop to signify paving the way toward success for the elite teams. The last stop of Domestic Series will be held in Beijing by exhibiting the diversity and maturity of China AI ecosystem, while also creating business opportunities and landing. The International Series, in addition to Beijing, includes Israel and Germany to further divert international talents and motivate the collaboration. The Final is to be held in Guiyang, also known as "Data Valley of China", during the 2019 BigData Expo. Elites from both Series will be gathering and showcasing their innovations, which leads to a fusion of data and intelligence over the industrial collaboration.

• Regional competition Prizes

Teams entering semifinals and finals will be granted the following non-cash awards

Application & Innovation Competition

The competition encourages teams to apply AI technologies to real scenes.

What Entries may enter

Products and projects applied in areas such as life, industry, healthcare, transportation, agriculture, culture, education, and etc, with the usage of AI technologies such as image, voice, natural language processing, data mining and software algorithms and etc. Competitors shall abide by relevant state laws and entries shall be innovative.

Who may enter

Registered technological companies, which meet the national standards and have no negative records

University teams led by advising professors

Participators with mature products, prototypes and complete core teams

Teams have ownership of their participating products, technologies and related patents and shall have no property disputes with other companies or individuals.The winners of the 2018 China International Big Data Fusion Innovation & AI Global Competition (including the winners in the regional, semi-finals, and finals) can not participate in the competition

18 to 24 teams will be selected out of 1000 teams from 6 competition Regional competition, and the top 3 or 4 teams will be selected from each Regional competition

Semifinals & Finals will be held in Guiyang from May 23th, 2018 to May 25th, 2018.

Award-winning projects will be exhibited in Guiyang during the Big Data Expo (May 26th, 2018 to May 29th, 2018)

Publicity

In accordance with the 2019 Big Data Expo Artificial Intelligence Global Competition Program, in line with the principles of openness, fairness and fairness, in order to enhance the brand influence of the competition, attract more outstanding artificial intelligence project teams to participate in this competition, the premise is not occupying the promotion quota of the regional teams. After the end of all regional competitions, based on the quality, application distribution field and expertise, select the excellent artificial intelligence project team of the same level or industry recognition. After the comprehensive review by the competition organizing committee, Agree to Guizhou Homsh Big Data Technology Co., Ltd (Iris Recognition Hard Core Chip and Industry), and Visight Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd（Intelligent security inspection system）, two wild card teams participate in the semi-finals.
